Writing Scoop : Rosa Parks: One Woman's Stand for Equality

Rosa Parks is symbolic of the Civil Rights Movement in the mid- 20th Century.  While riding on a bus in Montgomery, Alabama, Ms. Parks was ordered to give up her seat for a white person.  Parks, an African American, refused and was arrested.  This one incident represented the inequality that for so long existed in America.  The Civil Rights Movement began to change the way Americans thought about Rights for every person.  Rosa Parks is a hero to look towards: stand up for Rights & Equality!
