Writing Scoop: Advice From A Classic

Education by example is creating an indelible impression on students that may last a lifetime.  Simply "facting" with information might  not educate high school or college students.  However, imparting knowledge by example is invaluable.  For example: Tell your students to READ and then show/tell them of your personal favorite books.  Or discuss HISTORY and talk about your trip to an historic site.  Or point out SCIENCE occurring right outside the classroom window.

The most important aspect of teaching students is that they learn.
