Writing Scoop: Today IS Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day!

Once in a while a truly great person comes along who changes history, the world, the universe.  These rare folks can be from any background or involved with any field of endeavor.  Yet, their contributions to civilization(s) are so profound that their impact is part of global history.  Such people are our heroes and role models.  They alter our thinking and out lives.

One such iconic person is Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  Dr. King changed the course of Civil Rights not just in the United States for Americans but throughout the world.  His Dream of freedom and equality for all people has become a universal tenet anywhere there are human rights issues. The inspiration and motivation for change, for lifting up hopes, for creating a better world gives Dr. King a position at the pinnacle of those who created global awareness and those who fought for their beliefs.

On this Day, take time to reflect on the principles and preachings; writing and speeches; and quest for freedom and equality that was the Dream of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.  He believed that we could go forward as a more tolerant and superior civilization: keep close that conviction.
