February 28: National Tooth Fairy Day
February 28: National Tooth Fairy Day
Years ago, fantasy and such were used as motivation for a variety of daily tasks, such as tooth brushing, sleeping and over-all doing well. Today many of these simple imaginary inspirations have gone by the wayside. We live in such a fast-paced society that fairies and mythological creatures may not even be able to catch-up with children to ensure their progress.
However, it is difficult to motivate a child by simply say, "Do it. It is good for you/your health." It may be beneficial to hearken back to the days when the Tooth Fairy was there to help children brush their teeth and to reward the loss of a tooth, taking away the fear. Fairies and other "support systems" can assist even the most on-the-move individual because they can engage and encourage!
Happy National Tooth Fairy Day!
