Firsts: Harvard Orchestra Founded March 6, 1808

The 1st College orchestra in the United States was founded at Harvard College on March 6, 1808.  This trail blazing event initiated the establishment of many college & university orchestras.  Music, the universal language, adds immeasurably to our lives.  May these orchestras & many others continue to inspire, motivate & add beauty and stimulation to our days!
